Does Local SEO Matter?
Make it easy for your clients to find you
We get asked by our clients quite a bit about local search optimization. More specifically, do they need a local SEO strategy or services?
In short, yes. These a custom tailored local search strategy is essential to ensuring you gain visibility for local search terms. In other words, a local SEO strategy make it easier for potential clients to find you online.
But the good news is a local SEO strategy is super easy to set-up and very, very effective.
Step One
First things first, you need to determine if you’re a local business.
The answer is yes if you:
1.
Go to customer locations within a particular city to deliver your services.
2.
Customers located in a particular city come to you for services (this includes online).
Step Two
If you fall into one of these two categories, you will need to develop a local search strategy (or local SEO strategy) that is completely separate from a national or international SEO strategy.
By optimizing your local search strategy, you will be able to:
- Target terms with a geographical identifier such as your city plus your service or product (e.g. Vancouver + spa).
- Show up in the Google local pack which will rank higher than regular search results.
