MatchaCaring: Giving a Voice to a Company with a Big Heart

StudioTPM worked with innovative services platform, MatchaCaring, to engage with and connect its two different audiences.

The Brand

MatchaCaring connects Japanese families seeking in-home caregiver services with Japanese-speaking service providers. The services can range from cleaning, tutoring, and pet care to elderly and disability support.

MatchaCaring’s CEO, Ayami Tsuboi, has a background in each of these areas. During her career, she noticed a glaring gap in the market: Japanese immigrants seeking in-home care services for their families from Japanese-speaking professionals. She decided to bridge this gap with technology and marketing. Ayami engaged StudioTPM to work on brand messaging and positioning, web design and development, and marketing materials to spread the word about her “matchmaking” services for the Japanese community in Vancouver.

StudioTPM built clear messaging and an excellent web design that helped us connect skilled Japanese workers with potential employers in their community. They brought our vision to life and helped us achieve our important mission. Together we’re enhancing the lives of the Japanese community in Vancouver.”

MatchaCaring and the Power of Connection

StudioTPM helped MatchaCaring achieve its important mission by focusing on clean messaging for its niche audience. Since MatchaCaring was targeting two distinct audiences—service providers and customers—StudioTPM built messaging for each, focusing on the unique value propositions MatchaCaring offers to each one.

Once the messaging framework was in place, StudioTPM focused on building a brand that conveyed MatchaCaring’s warm personality. Matcha is a traditional green tea that provides warmth and comfort. It holds a special place in Japanese culture. StudioTPM built a brand that captures the sentiment of matcha tea—calmness and tranquility.

“StudioTPM built clear messaging and an excellent web design that helped us connect skilled Japanese workers with potential employers in their community. They brought our vision to life and helped us achieve our important mission. Together we’re enhancing the lives of the Japanese community in Vancouver,” said Ayami.

From there, StudioTPM designed a web experience to attract skilled workers and match them with the right people in their communities. They selected a calming “matcha green” theme, created illustrative icons for ease of navigation, and chose custom photography over stock photography. In this way, StudioTPM was able to position MatchaCaring as the warm and inclusive service it is.
